Contestants must register, sign in and follow the instructions to upload one (1) or more photos associated with Dallas history and a caption explaining how the events in the photo impacted the Participant’s life. Sponsor will accept photos in black and white or color. All digital entries should be at the highest resolution possible up to a maximum of 4MB. Sponsor will accept the formats of jpeg, tiff, gif and png.
Each photo must be assigned by the Contestant to one of five topic categories: news events, sports, culture, commerce, and health/education. Photos will be eliminated if they are not within the theme of the My Dallas Moments Photo Contest or if they are in violation of Contest rules or dallasnews.com terms and conditions. EACH PHOTO SUBMISSION MUST BE AN AUTHENTIC, ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPH TAKEN BY CONTESTANT OR THE CONTESTANT MUST OWN THE COPYRIGHT IN THE PHOTOGRAPH SUBMITTED. If your photo contains likenesses of anyone other than yourself, you must obtain releases from such parties granting the Sponsor the right to display their likenesses on dallasnews.com prior to your submission.

Yes. The following prize(s) will be awarded:
•Twenty (25) weekly prizes in the amount of $250 each
There will also be grand prizes given out in October in the following categories:
•Five (5) topical prizes in the amount of $1,000 each
•One (1) third-place grand prize in the amount of $2,500
•One (1) second-place grand prize in the amount of $5,000
•One (1) first-place grand prize in the amount of $7,500
The winner for the twenty-five (25) weekly random drawings will be selected on Friday of each week during the promotion (April 16, April 23, April 30, May 7, May 14, May 21, May 28, June 4, June 11, June 18, June 25, July 2, July 9, July 16, July 23, July 30, August 6, August 13, August 20, August 27, September 3, September 10, September 10, September 17, September 24, October 4). The winner’s name will be published in the Main section of The Dallas Morning News the Sunday following each drawing date, except for the final week which will publish on Wednesday October 6.
