State Fair Ticket Sweepstakes Entry
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. YOU MUST HAVE INTERNET ACCESS PRIOR TO THE START OF THE SWEEPSTAKES.
The Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the State of Texas who are eighteen (18) years or older at the time of entry.
Void where prohibited by law. Employees, temporary employees, independent contractors and interns of neighborsgo, The Dallas Morning News (“Sponsor”), A. H. Belo Corporation, Belo Corp., UPICKEM (“Administrator”), and each of their respective subsidiaries, parents, partners, other Sweepstakes sponsors, advertising and promotional agencies (hereinafter "Sweepstakes Providers") and the immediate family members of each, and any persons living with, any such employees are not eligible to enter or win prizes. The term “immediate family members” includes spouses, parents, grandparents, siblings, children, and grandchildren.

HOW TO ENTER: You may enter online at www.neighborsgo.com/statefair by clicking the State Fair ticket giveaway module and follow instructions. ONE ENTRY PER VALID EMAIL ADDRESS PER DAY (SEE DEADLINES). To enter the drawing for the tickets please complete the entry form and click submit. Winners will be selected at random at the close of each round. Entry pools do not carry over from one week to the next.
DEADLINES: The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00 a.m. CST on Friday, September 21, 2011 and ends at 11:59 p.m. CST on Wednesday, October 19, 2011. There will be four (4) weekly rounds that start on Thursday (round one starts on Friday) and end on the following Wednesday, as follows:
Round One – 9/21/2011 – 9/28/2011
Round Two – 9/28/2011 -10/5/2011
Round Three – 10/5/2011 – 10/12/2011
Round Four – 10/12/2011 – 10/19/2011
No submissions will be accepted after each deadline identified above for any reason. Administrator's computer is the official time-keeping device for the Sweepstakes. Participants entering close to the posted deadline do so with this information in mind.
No responsibility is assumed by Sponsor or Administrator for lost, late, misdirected, or illegible entries or for any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur. Entries will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet Access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. All entries become the property of the Sponsor. Multiple entries by the same person per day, including those made electronically by one person using one or more e-mail accounts, will result in disqualification. All e-mail entries must be submitted from a valid e-mail account that may be identified with a natural person by appropriate independent means, including, without limitation, reverse domain name search. Potential winners may be requested to provide Sponsor and Administrator with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the winning entry.
ODDS OF WINNING: Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
PRIZES:
The following prize(s) will be awarded: Ten (10) winners each round will receive a family 4-pack of tickets to the State Fair of Texas ($51.80 ARV).
During the entire sweepstakes period, forty (40) family 4-packs of tickets (160) total will be awarded.
Prize is non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash; substitutions may not be requested. By participating in the Sweepstakes and accepting a prize, participants and winners will be deemed to have agreed to these Rules. Winner is responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local income and any other taxes, fees and surcharges. An IRS Form 1099 will be issued for all prizes with a retail value in excess of $600. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
WINNER SELECTION: Winner selection will take place at the office of the Administrator as follows: ten (10) winners will be selected at the end of each weekly round by a random drawing of all entries received by the deadline for that week. Winner selection will take place every Wednesday as follows: Sept. 28, 2011, October 5, 2011, October 12, 2011 and October 19, 2011. Decisions of the Administrator with respect to the Sweepstakes are final. Winners will be notified via phone and/or email. If a winner is unreachable within 24 hours (or 1 business day), an alternate winner will be selected by a random drawing from all eligible entries received by the deadline. Winners will be informed via email how to claim their tickets. In order to be named a winner, potential winners may be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Prize Acceptance Form/Release of liability upon accepting a prize. Noncompliance will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected.
USE OF SWEEPSTAKES INFORMATION: Notwithstanding any contrary provision in any Sponsor's or Administrator's respective privacy policies, Participants grant to Sponsor, and Sponsor reserves, the right to use any and all information related to the Sweepstakes, including information provided by Participants in connection with the Sweepstakes, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law. Participants may be required to sign a release, which grants to Sponsor the right to use and publish their proper name and state of residence online or in any other media in connection with the Sweepstakes. By accepting a prize, winner(s) may be required to sign a release that grants permission to Sponsor to use his or her name, photograph, likeness, voice, prize information and/or biographical information for publicity and promotional purposes without future compensation unless prohibited by law. By receipt of any prize, winner agrees to release and hold harmless Sponsor, Administrators, Sweepstakes Providers, and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents (collectively, the "Released Parties") from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use or misuse of any prize.
CONDUCT: By entering the Sweepstakes, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules. The Official Rules will be posted on the sweepstakes platform, found by clicking the Rules tab throughout the Sweepstakes. Sponsor and Administrator reserve the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any individual they find to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Web site; or to be acting in violation of the Official Rules. You agree that in your participation in the Sweepstakes you will not use obscene, libelous or slanderous language, or language that infringes upon a third party's trademark, trade name or other intellectual property right or right of privacy. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor and Administrator and each of their respective subsidiaries, parents, partners, or other Sweepstakes sponsors, officers, consultants, agents, and employees against and from all claims, damages liabilities, costs and expenses asserted by third parties alleging that the Sweepstakes includes obscenity, libel, slander, or infringes upon the third party's intellectual property or privacy rights, as a direct result of your actions in connection with the Sweepstakes. You further agree to not knowingly damage or cause interruption of the Sweepstakes or to prevent others' participation in the Sweepstakes. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A PARTICIPANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE BELO WEB SITES OR TO UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSORS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PARTICIPANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: Winners assume liability for losses or injuries caused or claimed to be caused by participating in the Sweepstakes, or by the acceptance, possession, use of, or failure to receive any prize. The Released Parties are not responsible for (i) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes; (ii) any lost, late, illegible, or incomplete entries; or (iii) for any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of submissions in the Sweepstakes. Sponsors and Administrator assume no responsibility for an error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction of authorized access to, or alteration of, entries. Sponsors and Administrator are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of e-mail or players on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site or combination thereof, including injury or damage to participants or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in the Sweepstakes. If the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including legal restrictions, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsors or Administrator that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserve the right to cancel, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes.
PRIVACY: Information collected from entrants is subject to Sponsor's privacy policy and UPICKEM's privacy policy.
RULES / WINNERS LIST: Official Rules and the names of the winners may be obtained by sending a self-addressed, stamped #10 envelope to: neighborsgo – State Fair Ticket Sweepstakes, 508 Young Street, Dallas, TX 75202. Indicate "State Fair Ticket Sweepstakes Rules Request" or "State Fair Ticket Sweepstakes Winners List" on the outside of the envelope as applicable. Limit one (1) request per envelope. The request must include the name of the Sweepstakes. Winners List will be available 5 days after the winners are confirmed. GENERAL CONDITIONS: This Sweepstakes is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.
